Going Green with the Family

A regional workshop organised in collaboration with Hoso Bunka Foundation in promoting the theme going green with the family with the concerted efforts of television, family and communities for sustainable development.

AIMS The workshop aims to mobilise television as the medium to create awareness building of the society with concerted efforts of the communities in promoting the theme of going green with the family and communities to contribute not only to issues in environment but also to sustainable development.

OBJECTIVES
At the end of the workshop the participants will be able to

  • acquire knowledge on the contnet and concept of going green whihc will be approached in a variety of methods taking into account the diversities,nature and the environmental conditions in the participating countries,

  • discuss and conceptualise appropriate formats for production of
  • mini documentaries in urban and rural settings with the concerted efforts involving family and communities in their countries,

  • upon returning to his/her country the participant will be required to initiate a green project ,produce a mini documentary programme telecast by their organisation and forward a DVD to AIBD on or before 30 June 2010.

PROFILE OF THE PARTICIPANT

  • Producers with at least 5 to 7 years experience in tv programme production in either documentary or current affairs

  • ability to work with either urban and or rural communities in promoting the theme for sustainable development,

  • upper age limit is 40 years,

  • ability to understand,speak and write in English fluently
