Strategies for Improving Children's TV Programming in Asia-Pacific

The Pre-Asia Media Summit workshop is intended not only to develop a constructive plan to improve original local content, initiate international cooperation and promote training for children’s programmers but also to diagnose the reality of children’s programming in Asia-Pacific and to examine how media can play a responsible role to assist the under privileged,address sensitivities and implications on issues connected to children’s development.

OBJECTIVES
To be able to

  • diagnose the reality of children's programming in Asia-Pacific
  • based on the research and develop a constructive future plan to implement local quality children's programmes,

  • examine strategies to improve on expertise, formats, standards,
  • original content of local children programming and measures how to strengthen educational and entertainment programming,

  • discuss ways to work together to enhance the local quality
  • children's programme in the region,

  • identify new Initiatives through international cooperation and
  • potential joint projects,

  • promote training opportunities for children's Programmers.
