This course will focus on methods of design, application, implementation, and evaluation of core competency development programmes for adult learners enabling them to carry-out effective training in their own specific fields either in formal or on-the-job settings.
Aims An intensive practical oriented workshop dealing with the concepts and principles of adult learning and their application as well as instructional design which enables to carry out effective core competency development programmes.Objectives
At the end of training, participants will be able to
- Apply the knowledge and skills, of varied methodologies of training in core competency development programmes in their field of specialisation,
- Plan,organize,conduct,evaluate and modify training that brings about measurable results,
- Contribute effectively to become self-reliant in managing the in-country core competencey development programmes and in particular apply the methodology to train a group of potential trainers from Afghanistan.
Profile of Participants
- 12 participants will be selected from Radio & TV broadcasting and IRIB's Training Center based on the following criteria:
- Must be recognized by their broadcasting organizations as content specialists who possess at least 5 years experience in their respective fields of specialization in broadcasting and have a desire to become trainers,
- Those who are already working as trainers, but who have previously not participated in Training of Trainers workshops implemented by AIBD,
- Preferably be between 35 to 45 years of age,
- Ability to understand, speak & write in English would be added advantage.
