The regional workshop covers the use of Linux for network servers in broadcasting stations. The organizers of this course, AIBD and Deutsche Welle, are using Linux for their mission critical servers, too.
This course will be conducted in collaboration with DW-AKADEMIE from 3-21 November 2008 in Kuala Lumpur.
The popularity of Linux is steadily growing. Especially as server solution Linux is a "hot technology," based on the most important considerations in selecting a server platform. These include initial cost outlay, maintenance, and factors related to performance such as reliability, availability, scalability and security.
