Research and Programme Marketing

Product development and programme marketing in broadcasting rely on research data. Without this reliable information, positioning and customer satisfaction in a differentiated market may hamper further growth and improved bottom lines.

For this purpose, AIBD and its partner, PerConsult of Germany will conduct a regional workshop on Research and Programme Marketing on 26-27 May 2007 in Kuala Lumpur. The two-day workshop will help you define strategic and tactical research methods that will provide you first hand information about your target market.

The workshop is a step-by-step guide through the different methodologies, the strength and weaknesses of any given study design and analyzing and implementing research results.

From the set up of questionnaires, the challenge of recruitment, organizing fieldwork to appraisal of the data and reporting to the relevant people, this workshop covers most of the essentials in modern broadcasting research. Beside the theoretical background lots of “real life” examples will underline the importance of this topic and add comparability to actual tasks and challenges of the participants.

Participants
The workshop addresses, Managing Directors, Programme Directors, Music Directors, Sales Directors, Web Administrators and any other research related Managers who, either work in an existing research department, or who are to set up a research department within their organization. People from Radio and TV are welcome.

Thomas Rump, founding director of PerConsult will conduct the workshop. Per Consult, which is an AIBD affiliate member, is a German-based company with expertise in training and consultancy in the areas of cross media marketing, research and programming, management and communication, film production and graphics.
