Overview
The publication contains a series of presentations by Resource Persons at the Seminar on Standards in Broadcast Advertising in 1976 organised by AIBD in collaboration with the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and UNESCO.
The theme of the publication is to establish by comparative analysis of published codes, produced commercials and programmes, standards in broadcast advertising acceptable to the developing countries in the Asia and Pacific cultures, traditions and to review current practices in countries of the region especially in the persuasive use of advertising media in national development and educational roles.
The topics range from problems of interpretation and policing of commercials to the ethics of advertising from the consumer's viewpoint with particular reference to broadcast advertising.
