Overview
The purpose of this publication is to orientate producers in designing curriculum for Non-Formal Education (NFE) in either radio or television broadcasting. The guide for curriculum design refers to the essential characteristics, approaches, styles and techniques. It takes the form of principles and guidelines in education which are applicable to the circumstances, needs and resources prevailing in different countries. The publication was initiated by the AIBD in December 1978 -January 1979 and pre-tested and modified through an intensive international ten day training workshop . Samples for curriculum design for in-country training in NFE which are included , focus on the importance of curriculum development, and describe the process and steps in designing, in keeping with the concepts of Non Formal Education.
