Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD) in collaboration with the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) organised a 5-day regional workshop on Engineering Fundamentals for Broadcasters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 04 to 08 December 2017.
The AIBD/ABU Regional Workshop on Election Coverage was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 16 to 18 January 2018.
This 3-day workshop was aimed to enhance the skill set of the existing reporters for elections coverage.
To train the reporters and producers on elections operations and protocols during elections, while multi-tasking to increase work output without quality of work suffering during election coverage.
26 participants from Bangladesh, Bhutan, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia and Thailand took part in the workshop conducted by Ms Poonam Sharma.

Calls for more in-country training workshops and sustainability concerns dominated discussions among AIBD members who participated in the 43rd Annual Gathering/16th AIBD General Conference in Maldives.
