IN-COUNTRY SEMINAR : REPORTING ON HEALTH CRISIS Training Journalists for Emergencies and Outbreaks

In response to the ongoing COVID-19 situation and information dissemination efforts of media, Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD), organised a half-day In-Country Seminar on ‘Reporting on Health Crisis: Training Journalists for Emergencies and Outbreaks’ today.

SPT Experts Group Meeting

For the first time since 1998 a strategic plan document is in the offing for the Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD). It is being drafted by experts from the elected SPT member countries during 18th General Conference and Associated Meetings in Paro, Bhutan last year. The elected member countries are Cambodia, China, Fiji, India, Iran, the Philippines, Korea, and Thailand.

World Radio Day 2020

AIBD being one of the pioneers of World Radio Day Committee has always observed World Radio Day as one of the most significant events in the calendar year. 
This year, AIBD engaged its members and partners to send us their pictures and their reports regarding the Radio Day observances, which will be reported in the upcoming issue of 'Broadcaster'.

Some of the regional experts & broadcasters also sent us the video messages.

In-Country Workshop on Measuring KPI

Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD) organised a day-long workshop on Measuring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on 10 February 2020 for the officials of RTM and staff of AIBD in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The training program was designed to help the participating officials to have a better understanding of the significance of KPIs and integrating the theory in their workflow.

To shape the development media, broadcasters in Asia offered diverse approaches from pursuing investigative pieces, expanding collaboration among media groups, to respecting local sensitivity to reach targeted communities. More
