Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD) in collaboration with the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) organised a 5-day regional workshop on Engineering Fundamentals for Broadcasters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 03 to 07 December 2018.

AIBD Director meets Ambassador of Nepal

H.E Udaya Raj Pandey, Ambassador of Nepal to Malaysia commended AIBD’s interest in organising the 17th Asia Media Summit in Kathmandu, Nepal next year. AIBD will collaborate with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation of Nepal. H.E. welcomed Ms Philomena Gnanapragasam, Director AIBD in his embassy, and congratulated her on assuming the role of Director. During the meeting, he mentioned that the embassy of Nepal in Malaysia supports the AMS 2020, which is in line with the ‘Visit Nepal 2020’.

AIBD / MDEC Regional Workshop on Data Journalism and Infographics for Newsroom, in Conjunction with AI & Data Week 2019, 18 – 20 September, 2019, had 22 participants from, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Maldives and Thailand came to ASEAN Data Analytics eXchange (ADAX), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to learn about cutting edge tools to analyse data and also how to unleash their creativity in using numbers to tell stories.

'MoJo' workshop in Yogyakarta

AIBD and Televisi Republik Indonesia (TVRI) organised an In-Country workshop on Mobile Journalism in the historical Royal city of Yogyakarta, Indonesia from 23 to 27 September 2019.  The workshop was designed for the broadcasters of Indonesia working in the programme, camera, news and social media departments.
