Call for entries for AIBD Television & Radio Awards 2012

AIBD is proud to announce the call for entry for the AIBD Television & Radio Awards 2012. The awards will be awarded in thr following two categories:

1)    AIBD TV Award On the best TV programme on “Public’s response to natural disaster” or “Social media impact on society today”

2)    Reinhard Keune’s Memorial Radio Award on “Dealing with the effects of urbanization” or "Promoting the green technology and sustainable energy”

The awards are open to all members. The deadline for submission is 1 June 2012.

Winners will be rewarded during the 38th Annual Gathering and 11th AIBD General Conference & Associated Meetings in Kathmandu, Nepal from July 25 to 27, 2012.

AIBD TV Awards

The AIBD in line with its Strategic Plan and with a view to promote quality programming for various target audience groups, has initiated the AIBD TV Award which recognized the achievement of Television producers in the Asia- Pacific region.

The AIBD Awards are open to all AIBD members only.

1) AIBD TV Award On the best TV programme sized for new media - Internet or Mobile
2) AIBD Radio Award on the best Web Radio
3) Reinhard Kuene's Radio Award on the best radio programme dealing with forest issues

The deadline for submission of Abstract is now extended to 8 JUNE 2011.

AIBD TV Awards 2010

The AIBD TV Award 2010 was on "short TV programmes (mini-documentary and mini-drama formats) - up to 6 min".

10 entries were screened and adjudged winner was “The Green Mountains Fields” directed by Kim Han Jung and broadcast by EBS, Korea. The Green Mountains Fields is an impressive short programme telling the story of 8 disables men who moved from their center based in faraway mountain into the heart of Seoul with their belongings and with no place to live. This short programme portraits the 2 months of their struggle and thus illuminates the invisible line, which separated the disabled from the rest of the society.
